Then drop in to our next casual, regular meet-up where we share what we are working on, how we are working on it, and hopefully find that missing piece that elevates our craft.

What to expect at a meet-up:

For the first ~hour:

Those who want to share their artistic endeavour do so in <20 minute blocks, with the goal of discussion, inspiration, constructive critique (if desired), or just to get more comfortable with talking about their art.

Examples of "sharing" could be:

  • Going through and critiquing some new photos you took
  • Discussing an idea you have for a play
  • Reciting a poem you are working on
  • Running through your experiments with a new painting technique
  • Playing your band's demo tape
  • Explaining the logistics of your new videography project
  • Whatever, as long as you made it.

A successful first hour should leave everyone in the room feeling a little more inspired, a little less alien, and with something new to be curious about.

For the second ~hour:

  • Hangin' out talking about each other's art
  • Plan a collab with that cool person you just met here
  • Literally whatever

2 Since this is a new endeavour we have to constantly hunt for spaces that will host us, so it's not uncommon for things to be finalized at the last minute. Make sure to check here or the luma event page before you head to a meet-up incase something changed!
